In 2004, the Heart of Georgia Developmental Disabilities Ministries (DDM) was organized in response to the need in the Central Georgia area for additional homes for adults with developmental disabilities.

The Heart of Georgia DDM is a charitable, non-profit 501c3 corporation, and funds in support of homes and residents come from churches, individuals, endowments, memorials, foundations, and disability/family payments. No person is denied services on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, or sex.
